So I have HW (GPU) transcode working when I stream media, but it seems like the CPU is still being used to do conversions when I try to sync something to my tablet.
It goes super slow at like 1.5-2 X speed. Is there any way to offload this to the GPU?
I have the HW encode option enabled and again this is not for streaming the media to a device, its for transcoding and syncing it for use on an offline device.
Plex still transcodes audio in software, even if video was transcoded in HW. Have you actually checked if GPU is being used, or are you just assuming it’s not being the CPU is getting used as well?
I checked, no GPU usage what so ever.
I don’t think hw is used for sync so this would be normal.
I just wish they published this in some documentation.
