Server Version#: 4.87.2
Player Version#: Plexamp - Android 4.5.3/Windows 4.6.1
I am wondering if it is possible to remote control Plexamp on a different device without affecting the play queue on my phone.
I have Plexamp on my Android phone (Pixel 3) and on my windows computer. Currently, when I use Plexamp on my phone to control Plexamp on my PC, it will play what I currently have playing on my phone. If I change what is playing (remotely) and then go back to controlling Plexamp on my phone, the play queue carries back over to my phone.
So my question is this - Is it possible to have the queue on my phone remain unchanged while I switch to controlling Plexamp on my PC? I want to be able to load that queue with different songs and switch back to controlling my phone (with my phone) but have that queue unchanged. Are there settings to allow for this?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Adendum -
It’s now been nearly a week since I posted this question and there has been no response from the community. Is it possible that one of you might answer this for me? @tom80h@OttoKerner@elan
This is the same behavior I have observed with Plexamp. It makes sense to have the queues remain separate for each end point as you switch back and forth with an option perhaps to move a queue to another device of desired. I don’t have an answer for you but I too would like to see this I come from the Logitech media server (LMS) environment and it works as you desire in that environment.
Thanks for chiming in. I was beginning to seriously wonder if my post was being seen at all. I’m surprised that even after tagging admins I’ve gotten no help from them. Maybe your comment will help to bring it some attention.
All you have to do is come back and “bump” the post back up to the top again so it’s seen again on the front page. Your post gets shot back up to the top for the mods or employees to see. Recommended to do this once a week.
I appreciate you suggesting this. Only thing is that I don’t know how to “bump” my post back to the top. If you could explain how I do that I’ll appreciate it even more.
Regarding your question: no, that is not possible. If you remote into another player, you are controlling it absolutely. That means you either take posession of its local play queue or overwrite it with your own.
