Question Re: Moving Files to New Hard Drive

Hey everyone, I hope.I’m posting this in the right forum.

I’m planning on picking up a larger hard drive to replace the two I currently use with Plex. I plan to move all files from both drives to the new one.

I have a lot of custom artwork, metadata, collections, etc as well as obviously the movies that I’ve watched flagged as such and so on.

Is there a way to accomplish this move while retaining all of the metadata/watched info/etc? Or would I essentially have to rebuild my library from the ground up?

Any assistance at all is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Only way would be to edit the database directly and change the path to the media files from old to new: [HowTo] Plex database modification - Moving media the right/wrong way

Or you simply exchange only one of the drives with the new one and copy everything over 1:1
