[QUESTION] Version Selection

Hey there,

Love the Watch Together feature, had some issues at first but got most of them sorted (user error)

Only thing I can’t seem to figure out is how you can select which version is used when starting a Watch Together session with a few friends?

I have a few Movies in 1080/720p but it seems sometimes it will start with 1080p for me (I’m guessing since I’m local) but the other people in the session will default to the 720p version with no way to select the 1080p source file?

Is this possible or is there some sort of logic baked into Watch Together which decides on the source file to use? If the latter is the case then it would be nice to have a selection IE: Auto, 1080p, 720p, etc (with the bitrate showing just how you select version usually)

Again love the feature, really appreciate all the developers dropping what they were doing to develop it quickly. Overall it is quite polished and don’t know what I would do without it.

FYI: Everyone in the session is using the Plex App (Windows)

It’s not currently possible to pick a version for Watch together.

Okay, good to know.

I think this would be a great feature to have, especially with 2160p content that has 1080p/720p source files available as well.

Is there some sort of logic in place for the remote users connected to the session? Does it just select the lowest bitrate source file or the first one added to plex, etc?

Also, really appreciate the quick response.

Thank you!

It will use the version that is listed when you look at the preplay screen. Typically, this is the higher resolution version.
