2021 is coming in a few days. I believe that many people have raised the issue of poster ratio. I don’t know why and have been sticking to the 1:1.5 DVD ratio. Why not increase it by 16.9? Today’s era is no longer the past. More poster content should be displayed. We cannot live in the past. Now is the era of digital media. No matter what the reason, this pace cannot be stopped. The content of digital posters is even twice that of DVDs. It should be compatible with this wider and larger poster trend.
In other words, the development team may consider the cleanliness of the page, and want to make the ratio consistent to keep the page tidy. Even if this is a temporary problem, you can’t keep going forever. I have observed that the earliest suggestions of forum posts can be traced back to a few years ago or even earlier, but at least the plex team should give them an explanation. I have not seen any official reply at the moment!
