Increasingly the artwork for movie files are changing from portrait to landscape. As far as I can tell Plex only allows the portrait mode for display. The landscape artworks that you can get now are beautiful and show nicely on a large TV. One app that helps you find this artwork is iFlicks.
Anway please consider allowing to show the landscape view as they get cutoff with the portrait display.
As a new user of Plex app(s), I was curious about this too. I see Grid view but no option to show as portrait or landscape. All my artwork is landscape (800x450 for example), embedded with Subler in movies and TV shows.
The landscape format is more consensual today and modern, information providers have it.
why not give the choice to the user plex, is so complicated to put it in option knowing that, the covers in this format are same, proposed by plex during the choice of media wallpaper
Please the Plex team add this option ?
it’s early Christmas
Why can’t we choose the thumbnail type in our movie libraries? All of the streaming services use landscaped thumbnails and there is some good artwork out there for this format. Plex is starting to look dated by only supporting portrait style thumbnails. I propose that you add the ability to choose what thumbnail format the library uses.
