My TV show media library contains some Japanese anime and Chinese anime, I found that most Japanese anime will automatically play a theme song of the anime when opening the detail page, but a few Japanese anime and all Chinese anime will not have it Theme song as background music. I didn’t put music files in the media library, so the background music should be a scraper match from plex. I want to know if this background music can be set? Or where does plex match the theme song, can I go to the corresponding database website and edit it so that plex can help me match the theme song when matching metadata? By the way, the proxy I’m using now is Plex TV Series, sorted by TMDB.
Thank you very much!
If using a local theme song, does the ordering of episodes have to be a separate folder for each season? My media library is organized by “episodes.s01e01.ext” for all seasons together under a TV show folder. Putting theme.mp3 directly in the folder (side by side with the episode), Plex doesn’t recognize it correctly.
This is the layout of my media library.
In addtion, if I submit a theme song by e-mail, how long does it generally take for you to see the mail?
You should in general follow the recommended naming schema, if you want all Plex features to work correctly.

After adding the theme.mp3, you must “Refresh Metadata” for the whole show.
It can take several weeks, since it is only updated occasionally.
