With reference to @nlaslett’s great work here, does this solution with DirectPlayProfiles in custom XML files to prevent the dreaded 10-seconds-per-image photo resizing/transcoding problem still work, or have there been found other working solutions?:
I am unable to speed up image displays/bypass resizing/transcoding in the Plex Windows desktop client and in web browsers of photos from my photo library on a PMS running on my Synology DS120j NAS.
By the way, what should be the name of the above linked to XML file, and is /volume1/PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server/Profiles the correct folder for the XML file?
Any other settings on the server or the client which have to be set accordingly for this to work?
