So in my process of ripping my DVD collection, I’ve noticed that I’ve made a mistake on one or two DVD’s causing there to be no audio in the final rip.
I’m curious if there is a setting in Plex, that allows me to quickly view the settings that each DVD has been encoded with. Mainly Audio tracks, but it’d be nice if it had subtitle tracks as well as resolution.
I noticed that I can see the resolution when I choose ‘list’ view, but I can’t see the the audio options.
Another way that this could be easier is if I could just open the ‘pre-play’ page on my first movie, and check out it’s settings then click a ‘next movie’ button to go directly into the pre-play page of the next movie, instead of having to hit back, then selecting the next movie. Is there a way to do that?
Copy. Bummer to hear. Is there a ‘make a suggestion’ page anywhere where I can request this feature? (I’m assuming there is one in the forums somewhere, but I haven’t really dug around that much yet.)
There’s a Feature Request forum for Plex Pass members.
There’s an easier way… a few releases ago, the team added an option to filter by (audio and subtitle) languages.
Try setting a custom filter, and searching e.g. for every movie which has no English language audio.
If your library has multiple languages, adding a “doesn’t equal Language X” for each language should do.
Awesome! The custom filter does the trick! Very quickly and easily can tell which files I need to do a little work with. Thanks! Learning something new everyday!
