I feel like I might be missing something really simple here, and maybe I’m missing a key search term.
Random episode thumbnails are missing, on both the server, and in apps on Roku and mobile devices, etc.
The “fix” so far has been to move the media that is missing the thumbs to another folder, and scan the library and then add them back and scan the library, and almost without fail, the episodes get their thumbs.
This is always TV, never movies. Folder and file permissions and rights for the shows are all correct and the same as all others. Restarting plex, rebooting the server, no changes. As yet, only removing and re-adding the media will get thumbs.
