Raspberry Pi crashes when left on TV library screen

Hi,

 

I've recently noticed an issue on my bedroom Raspberry Pi (B board running 0.4.1).  It spends most of it's time on the main home screen with the tv off and for maybe an hour or 2 per day it gets used last thing at night before I fall asleep.  Recently I have noticed that if I select my TV library (or my movies library) and then leave it on that screen for a few minutes without touching the remote the Pi crashes.  By crashing I mean the screen goes black and no matter what I do I can't get it to come back.  The TV displays a no signal type error.

The only fix is to hard boot the device and then operation continues as normal until I leave it display the contents of a library again at which time it crashes after a few mins.

I am running the default settings for everything as far as I know.  Anybody seen this before?

Have you got Fan Art enabled, if so you are suffering from a known memory leak issue, suggest turning Fan Art off.

Hmmm good question.  I will look and report back.

I might be going mad but is there a setting within rasplex to turn fan art off?  I have all the metadata and  posters etc for each TV series pulled down from thetvdb etc by the plex server, is that what you are talking about?

It's in Preferences, Appearance, Skin Settings, turn off slideshows.
