i search a addon for Rasplex that have the same function with Boblight for XBMC.
Then i think in this Time the Backlight or Ambitlight it is not future, it is normal on this time.
Have you tried hyperion? Hyperion is build in rasplex. I personally advise to do a manual installation with hyper-con. All the info can be found on there website.
