we on track?
I hate to say it, but there is more evidence for the existence of Santa Claus than these cases. You can find guys on the street corner in a few months, claiming to be Santa. I haven't seen or heard of any cases, anywhere, claiming to be the cases discussed here.
:(
How about motivating Dale and thank him for his hard work on this case instead of complaining about everything?
It just takes a look of time to create a case, find a manufacturer and setup a kickstarter campaign.
This is not his job - this is a spare time project.
Just create your own or buy an other case if you're not willing to wait for it...
(Ranting around is easy but won't help to make progress in any case…)

I won't rant on the Plex case. But I've bought one from Amazon already. It's apparent that whomever is working on the case has a busy life or otherwise has obstacles to overcome that aren't easy to accomplish. So I have some clear case I bought for $18. Maybe someday if I need to build a second RasPlex box. :(
Can't complain to volunteers about not getting stuff done. I've been there and I've had that problem. But there's a window of opportunity where you can get great market share. Just imagine if Apple released the original iphone today. They'd be laughed at. Anyway, I've moved on and I'm fairly sure that the window of opportunity to maximize money from the case is long gone.
It probably would have been smarter to not mention the case until you had all your ducks in a row and was ready to sell. Now people will not remember the awesome case design. They'll remember that they waited more than 7 months and not a single case was sold but that it kept getting held back with "delays". I do hope that RasPlex development doesn't have the same "delays" as the case. I'm so hopeful it'll blossom into another powerful Plex client people are pleased to use. If I were a programmer I'd be trying to help, but I'm not.
Amen.
This looks like quite an interesting case http://www.pi-supply.com/product/shortcrust-perfect-base-raspberry-pi/ if they get more back in stock
Any update on this (I see its been months since first touted). Could definitely do with a VESA mount case...
fair enough
I hope it still comes out, but I'm just going to buy the VESA mount on Amazon. Waited as long as I could.
For those that haven't seen you can now buy the Rasplex Cases from Shapeways http://www.shapeways.com/shops/rasplex
Case was cancelled for a few reasons, the post about shapeways is where you should go
