I recently purchased a raspberry pi B+ model. I have to sd cards, a 4GB and an 8GB. I used my windows laptop to install rasplex on each of the cards, the latest version and the previous one. Both of them showed the initial bootup screen indicating that it is resizing then rebooting. However after that the screen goes blank and stays that way. The actually raspberry pi unit is displaying a red light. I'm kind of at a loss. Thanks for your help in advance.
It's weird that the screen just goes black after the reboot, when the initial boot worked earlier.
The only explanation that makes sense is that something went wrong with the growth of the ext4 partition, or the copying of the root filesystem into it.
If that somehow corrupted the SD card content it could cause a non-responsive crash at reboot.
The main suspect causes of such SD card corruption would be:
1: Low class SD card (I'd never use less than Class10)
2: Low power PSU (1A is minimum, but 2A is preferred)
3: Overclocking too much or doing it with bad RPi ventilation. (Probably not in this case.)

I appreciate the response.
I reinstalled plex on the sd card. Same thing happened, so I waited a little while and turned the screen off. Later that day I turned the screen on and the setup was ready to go haha. very strange, needless to say it's working as of now.
