I noticed with HDMI I can choose 640x480, which is 4:3, perfect for a stand definition TV (SDTV) using composite out (RCA cables). The problem is, I can not choose that resolution when my Raspberry Pi 3 config.txt contains sdtv_mode=0 and sdtv_aspect=1 .
It is stuck at 720x480. It can not go higher, which is great, but I’m not sure why I can’t go lower. I realize it skews the view slightly because of this. I was curious if there is a reason for this, or if it could be fixed.
I’m looking for any help allowing me to select the better resolution. Thanks!
