Re-uploading all Files from Scratch

Hi all,

I have a hard drive and laptop running Plex. The previous laptop was on its way out so bought a new one. I’ve set up Plex again and it is now adding all the files again. However, whilst movies tend to be the added in the correct order (the latest added to my hard drive is also the recently added on Plex). However, for TV shows, the recently added in Plex appears to be a random order.

Is there a setting that I might have missed that will organise the files based on the Date Modified within my hard drive?

If you follow this guide, your old server can be migrated — no newly re-adding of media etc.

When you create a new library and only on the very first scan, it will use the file dates, it maybe folder date, i can’t remember which. Any other scan will use the current time and data on your server.
