Really Need The Useless items Removed By Default

Still waiting on Plex to remove all the useless crap that boats this software and really makes it looks bad. I don’t have time to go through it with my users to show them how to remove it. They are not tech people.

BLAH BLAH BLAH

Look I don’t care if you keep it, just disable this annoying stuff by default My users call it a lot worse. Lol…

The writing is on the wall.
That’s not going to happen.
Everybody sees it by design.
Plex doesn’t care what inventive invective we employ in it’s description, but we can give them a piece of our mind by disabling it. That’ll say much more to internal logistics than we could ever say in the Bluest of Terms.

So, maybe you should open a store and hide all of your products in the back room…

Yeah, if I wanted movies given to me I would’ve have signed up for Netflix there’s no commercials Lol…

Sure, but the model they’re using for being a free personal media server isn’t paying the bills, neither are the plex passes, so, ad-supported video content generates revenue for them. That’s the point. Personally I’d rather see them charge $50 for the software and call it a day… But then someone would just pirate it  lol. The point though, was that they need additional revenue, and making their revenue streams invisible is just bad business…

Personally I think they would make more monies if they partnered up with PornHub.

(i’m only half joking)

They probably would except think about the backlash. (No I was not referring to S&M   :flushed: :smiling_imp: ) They received a rather horrendous amount of negative feedback just from some suggestive titles and a little mild nudity getting displayed. It was no more that some softcore porn and several threads nearly overwhelmed this site and some other message boards.

Besides Plex has committed to never directly supporting porn so it will, probably, never happen.

I do think this good be a good software, but It’s not going in the direction that it should be. The goal of this software was to give us a tool to manage our media, keywords “Our Media” it seems to me that it’s all about Plex and using content that benefits them with no regard for the people dishing out the money. and how much more money they can make by using our users.

When you load Plex now for the first time it looks like one big ad. Just my opinion. I’m sure there are plenty of happy customers with the way the software is. For my personal use it’s going the wrong way.

I can understand that, but it’s either force plex pass to every user that uses the software, or figure out another revenue stream to keep it free, and leverage the untapped market of non-server owners. It’s a smart business decision. I can certainly understand why you wouldn’t be happy with it, I turn off all of those services myself, as they’re pointless to me. But the money has to come from somewhere…

Here we go again
