Is there any way to switch videos that have automatically been categorized as “Movies” to another library? I loaded a bunch of golf videos in the “Other” folder and Plex automatically categorized them as Movies and obviously didn’t match any of them because they aren’t Movies.
Non-commercial movies should be in an “Other Videos” library. If you chose the “Movies,” type, Plex is naturally going to try to match them to the movie database.
That’s what I did but this is what I get:
It seems to be picking up the videos from my “Other” folder for some reason.
What’s in the “Add Folders” tab for “Movies” and “Other Videos” libraries? Are your golf videos in the same folder structure as your movies? If so, they should be in a separate location.
Other Videos are in the following directory:
Media/Plex Media/Other Videos
Movies are in:
Media/Plex Media/Movies
I’m guessing that this should work or am I missing something?
That’s fine, as long as your Movies Library points to
Media/Plex Media/Movies
and the Other Videos Library points to
Media/Plex Media/Other Videos
If either library is only pointing to Media/Plex Media, it will pick up both folders. That’s why I asked what is in the “Add Folders” tab:
Got it! That was exactly the problem. Movies was pointing to Plex Media.
