Received email about PMS problems/need to reinstall. But...?

Several weeks ago I received a lengthy email stating a need to delete and reinstall the Media Server from my Win 10 desktop. I believe it was separate from the hack of usernames.
The procedure given to totally remove and reinstall PMS was lengthy and (I believe) involved the Registry.
Was I imagining this, or do I need to take some action(s)?

Do you mind sharing a copy of what you got? I don’t recall anything like that sent out. What email does it say it came from?

Ive not heard of a need to re-install, just a password reset.

I’m still looking for the email (from maybe two months ago)! If I find it, I’ll post it here!
