I am having an issue with Plex and the recently added feature of Movies, and TV Shows.
I have stuck with the naming conventions from the documentation on this site, but still the problem persists.
The TV Shows keeps showing things which were added quite a while ago, probable more than a couple of months. The Movies is showing things as recently added all the way back, which means EVERY movie shows up as recently added. I have a third category which is also movies, but it is broken down and named “Documentaries”. Finally, I have a “Personal Videos” which also shows everything added. I finally set them to not be included in recently added, but I would like this function to work as it is intended to, and turn them back on.
I am running Plex on a Synology DS1817+ NAS, and tried various things along the way (been running Plex on the NAS for over a year and had the same issue previously on my old Synology DS1812 NAS). I have noticed the same things seems to occur with a Windows installation, so not sure that the NAS has anything to do with the issue. Why does this feature not work? I have seen numerous posts by many others with the same issue, and I don’t think anyone has a system where it works as it should (do they?).
Any help or assistance in getting this sorted out would be appreciated, especially help from the Plex team.
