"Recently Added" not showing new additions to my library

When a new show is downloaded and added to my library, I’m not seeing the “Recently added TV” section on the home screen show it. It’s there in the library and I can play it but it doesn’t show up as recently added.

Interestingly, movies do. If I put a new move in my library, that gets added to “Recently added movies” right away. This is driving me crazy and I just can’t figure it out!

I’ve updated my Plex server software as well as the media players on my smart TV, Apple TV, iOS, etc.

I see the same behavior on my server, but in my case it works fine for tv shows, but not for movies…
