The ability to recommend a movie or Show would be amazing. Please add.
I’d love to see this feature added as well. I like Doramius illustrations so I’d like to add my illustrations on what I how I invision this process.
Provide a button that would allow ALL users to recommend movies from the shared media. This would allow everyone to have a say on what shows they recommend.
Display the recommended movies on the dashboard for easy access.
Provide filtering options for recommended movies.

Please add this feature! We should be able to “highlight” or “recommend” content from our own server. It should then be a new section on the Dock at top “Featured Movies” i.e. This should NOT be hard to implement!

It’s crazy to have to queue items simply to send a recommendation. Actually, I just upgraded to the latest iOS version of the app and can’t even get the recommend to work at all at this point.
Let’s simplify and remove the queue requirement!

…indicates that for iOS, a pop-up menu appears when you long-press on an item, containing the “Recommend” action. A few issues:
- What is “Watch Later”? When choosing such items, I can “Add to Queue”, I can “Add to Playlist” - but I can’t seem to find any option to “Watch Later” at all. What am I missing?
- The UI they show in the screenshot on that page is an iOS-standard pop-up menu. But, all interactions within the current iOS app I have (version 4.3) result in an in-app menu (same white-text-on-black-background as the rest of the UI) being displayed.
Is this feature simply not yet implemented in the iOS app - no matter what that support article says? Is it possible to access this feature via the web client?
My use case: I have home videos of my son, which I’d like to share with my parents. They are already users of my Plex server, but indicating the specific video I want them to see, is challenging. Currently, I’m limited to instructing them to "Launch Plex, access the ‘Home Videos’ share, and look for an item named ‘foo’ " - this seems rather user-hostile, and error-prone.
Much better, would simply be a way to send them a reference to that specific item, much as I can share a photo album with them via Flickr, a file with them via Dropbox, etc. Is this (seemingly-basic) functionality available within Plex at all?
