I don’t understand why “recommendations” was ever released without this
It would be nice if they could also integrate with an external crowdsourced service that can provide recommendations (like Trakt). This should be optional of course.
Would be nice to recommended stuff back and forth between users sharing the same Plex server. Word of mouth is okay, but also easily forgotten
Having to have content in the queue to recommend it might very well be the silliest implementation of a feature in human history.

This would be quite useful… Especially if the recommendations could be tailored based on viewing preferences… One problem of having large content libraries is figuring out what to watch becomes a challenge in of itself. (12K movies and 15K TV shows)… so it would be good to recommend some things based on viewing preferences (my wife watches Shows X, Y, Z… so maybe give Show G and H a try)… I watch shows Y, X, T, and W,… so Give Show H and R a shot)… and maybe aggregate the the recommendations (which would inspire some conversation ABOUT what we watch)

I’ve just “adapted” and started making private labels for the different users. But… that has a tendency to be overlooked, unfortunately.

The functionality is there already as you can recommend items on your ‘watch later’ list. Why you can’t recommend movies on your own server is beyond me. Adding this would be awesome. It would make my life much easier and i think it could attract and keep people coming back to Plex.
+1 would make picking a movie a social event again. remind us of when we used to go to brick and mortar movie rental stores and make a suggestion to a friend or complete stranger.
It blows my mind that this isn’t already an active function. The main reason I invite friends/family to view my server is because I have a specific thing in mind that I think they should see.
