I'm sure I'm not alone in having that feeling that my life suddenly becomes a little less complete at the end of a series, for example when The Sopranos finished or worse in 7 episodes time when Breaking Bad will finally be over.
I'm not sure if this is the reason for it but Samsung have been quite clever with their S-Recommendation engine, your TV can again complete your televisual life.
It got me thinking, we all have a database of our favourite films, TV Series and box sets online and available to help other PlexPassers out when they face this temporary emotional hole.
What if we can send data to a central server, nothing big just csv or xml, which then looks at other users with similar collections then replies with suggestions in their library which we don't have.
Then imagine the revenue possibilities. Firstly I would happily pay more for an advanced PlexPass for this, indeed I feel its presently under-priced anyway. Better it would create a database of viewing habits, of course anonymous and without filenames, which would be available to networks and film producers for a price and maybe even access to advanced pilots.
Edit: I've tried Trakt.tv and its a bit of a PITA. You can only update the recommendation engine manually and many services are VIP only, further the recommendations were random at best. Clearly they haven't seen the potential to monitise. A PlexPass version would be much better IMO.
