Recorded programmes ALWAYS transcode on playback since last update

Since the last update, recorded programmes from any channel will be transcoded, programmes recorded before the update play direct, transcode reason says “Container (null) not supported”. I can optimise the recordings and they play fine. Is this a bug? Can I roll back the server update? Version 1.21.3.4046 was working fine
