I record the Kimmel and Colbert shows every weeknight. I have been doing this for over a year. I have them set to Keep Last 3 Episodes. One show is set to delete on next refresh. The other is set to delete after 1 day. Yet when I look in my library I have 14 episodes of Kimmel and 14 episodes of Colbert, all marked Watched. All spanning 2 weeks.
I am the administrator and only user of this system, if that helps. I typically watch shows from my TV, the night after they were recorded. I rarely watch from my laptop or my phone.
Why isn’t Plex deleting the shows after they have been watched? I thought it has been working, and only noticed the backlog of watched shows in the last few weeks. I don’t think I’ve changed any settings that would “break” this functionality.
Do I need to delete the programs from my DVR shedule and recreate them, to clear up any corrupted settings?
And can somebody explain what “On next refresh” means? I’ve looked through the Plex doco but don’t quite understand when a “refresh” occurs.
