Keep Episodes option

I am recording the Euro 2020 matches and I have set up my series record to delete episodes older than 3 days. Have just checked today and there were still episodes on Plex from 12/06/21 so doesnt look like this function is working properly. I am recording from BBC One HD and ITV1 HD channels and its not working on either of them. Also I have got Formula 1 set up the same and that hadnt deleted the previous weekends race, practice etc,

Had you watched the episodes? The “Keep” setting only affects unplayed episodes; if you want watched content to be deleted automatically, you’ll have to configure “Delete episodes after playing.”

I haven’t used auto-delete myself lately, but in the past neither setting affected partially-watched content; they affect only unplayed and fully-played (from Plex’s perspective) items. The ability to auto-delete regardless of watched status is the subject of a feature request.

These were unplayed episodes as far as i can remember.

Were they partially watched? Those are not considered watched or unwatched, so they don’t get deleted until you mark them one way or the other.
