I have shows that are recorded on ESPN and my local NBC Sports channels that would previously play just fine on my iOS devices. Since the latest PMS and iOS/tvOS updates those shows will no longer play on my iOS devices. When I try to play them, the loading spinner comes up and just sits there. The server starts transcoding sessions on them, but I cannot find that the transcoding is even taking place. Activity monitor shows the transcoder spike and take up over 100% of CPU usage (about 120%, how’s that even possible?). When I play shows recorded from CN or local ABC and CW channels they transcode as well (all my recordings are AC3 5.1, I guess iOS doesn’t like this?) but doesn’t take up nearly as much CPU usage?
This has all been happening since two or 3 days, and today seems one of my new recordings wants to play just fine? what gives? Anyone care to take a look at some logs for me?
This is all regardless of wether I have direct stream or direct play enabled.
