Having an issue that I’ve isolated to TV recordings that I record from Live-TV. I’m on the latest Plex server (Synology) and Plex client (Android-TV beta). My recordings do not play on my Nvidia Shields (2017 and 2019 Pro).
I get a spinning circle. The recordings play fine on my Roku, iOS devices, and via the web player. These shows are either recorded at 720P or 1080i and are MPEG2Video 4 Main (MPEGTS).
LIVE tV plays fine though, which is the source for the recordings (HD Homerun Prime).
I don’t know if it’s related, but I can get the recordings to play ok if I disable the Enable I/O cache in the Plex client on the Nvidia shields. I had not noticed this setting before, which is why I tried to disable it.
I don’t have the issue for any Movie that I’ve ripped from my DVD or Blu-ray collection.
