Recording current program HTPC

Ok, so pretty new to a lot of this. I’ve been using Plex for a while but am completely new to the HTPC/DVR side. I’ve noticed that when I’m in the web ap or the desktop app there is a “record” button that shows up for shows that are current airing. So, that you can start recording it as it is on or as your are watching it. But, on the Plex HTPC this option is not there. At least not in any way I can find. This makes no since to me in any way. It’s like one of the most basic thing for DVR. Now to be clear I can schedule a recording in HTPC. I just can’t record anything that has already stared airing… like i can in every other Plex client I have tried. I’ve look for a setting but can’t find anything that helps. Does anyone have a solution? Or, does PlexHTPC really just not support that?

Plex HTPC is a client. A media player.

It will playback any media on the Plex Media Server.

I’m sorry John but this does not answer my question in any way. Why can I not initiate a recording of a live TV broadcast while in PlexHTPC when I can do that very thing in every other Plex Client I have seen.
