If a show is already started than I can’t select to record it on my Nvidia Shield plex client. The server side runs on a Windows 10 PC and all of the record functions work fine with it. I can choose to record shows in the future on the shield no problem but just not currently airing (record button doesn’t even show up with pause, etc).
Probably something easy not set up correctly but not sure what it is. I am new to plex so still learning…
Same with Fire TV, server running on Linux - latest versions of Apps, Beta version of server.
I have the same issue… running Plex server on a Windows 10 PC and using an Nvidia Shield Pro Plex client. I’m not given a record button to record any shows. The ability to record shows up fine on my Roku device and PC. Anyone else experience this and is there a solution?
It appears that with Android TV and Plex you can record currently playing shows… but not directly from the guide. You need to navigate to the “On Now” channel to find the currently playing show you wish to record. You will find the record button when you select the desired show.
