Recording never stops

I am recording 7-10 shows a day with no issues but twice now (last nights NFL football game) the recording appears to never end. I went to watch the game this morning and the activity spinner (7+ hours after the game) was still spinning and there was no show to watch. I had other tv shows before, during, and after the game that were recorded and stored with no issue. I did watch some of the game recording while it was recording. Has anyone else had this issue? How did you resolve it?

I have this issue occasionally, but never 7 hours afterward. Eventually it stops and sometimes the show is fine. Other times it’s very truncated (8 minutes for a 60 minute show). I’m not sure if the truncation is due to the commercial skipper.
