I was wondering if there is some way to record an OTA TV show without transcoding or mucking with the different streams.
Looking to do this as a work around for lack of ATSC 3.0 support. When I record a NextGen TV station via Plex, the resulting .ts file has no audio streams, just HEVC video. It seems Plex is ripping out the streams it doesn’t recognize. But my Xbox will play ATSC 3.0 channels. If there was a way to record and Direct Play without interfering with the streams, it might work. It would also provide a point for a third party app (MCEBuddy?) to transcode the streams, when FFMPEG support becomes available.
Just wondering if there was a way to tweak this to work.
