Recording with special character at the end of the title not saving… PMS record the show but at the end… the show disappear and i have only an empty folder

As you can see… PMS replace the “?” by a space

Maybe ! But its the same error … you have a space after “Que sont ils devenus”

The title of the show is “Que sont ils devenu?”

But that was not the only issue. Some characters are not permitted in file / directory names, eg

Tthat would be why the question mark was changed

But the log shows issues also with this

what directory got created?

and what is this chemin text?

So illegal characters for file/folder names get replaced with spaces

Also excuse my French - so the Le chemin is part of an error message saying the specified path not found or something like that

sorry for my slow understanding of the issue -

Le chemin dӡcc鳠spꤩfi顥st introuvable is probably just logging of french text is going wrong and it is just something like The specified path is not found.

So the issue is that we replaced illegal characters by space and windows trims the names and the trailing space is gone

I have referred this to the development team
I am not sure why the other example the “!” was replaced by a space. Exclamation mark is allowed in folder/file names

The two examples you show ae

"J’ai raté mes rénos!"
"Que sont-ils devenus?"

If the title have special caracter at the end of the show… like this J’ai raté mes rénos!

Plex replace the ! by a space… and the file is just deleted

If you check the name of the folder directly on windows… i have no space …

and if i check the name on plex i have a space at the end…

Notice that you quoted 1.15.x release versions - but your logs are 1.14.1.5488

I know i downgraded the version because i have artifacts with OTA signal…

But it’s the same issue whatever if i have 1.14 or .1.15 versions … :wink:
