I’ve had numerous problems in the past with my tuners and Plex. I purchased a new set of tuners and am having trouble again with the most recent versions of Plex. I upgraded the firmware in my HD HomeRun devices yesterday, and installed the latest version of Plex 1.91 yesterday as well. Everything was setup and running. Then my shows started recording.
My DC’s Legends of Tomorrow recording that started at 8:58 got stuck in the recording state. My .grab folder still has the item, and my Recording Schedule page is still stuck showing that it is currently recording that item–This is 12 hours later, the following day.
The DVR stopped working and many of my shows stopped recording, so I missed Sunday’s episode of The Vietnam War. I now only have episodes 2, and 3. damn. Also missed the premier of Dancing with the Stars, so my wife is upset. She’s come to not trust the DVR any longer, which is very sad. I’m right there with her.
I monitor the system way more than I should have to. And yet it still blows up and shows don’t record.

Logs attached.
Mine did the exact same thing last night with the same show. Had to restart PMS to get things working again. It had been rock solid (recording) since upgrading to 1.9.0. I upgraded to 1.9.1 this morning hoping it fixes the issue before the new season starts next week. I see you are on 1.9.1, so my hope is fading quickly! I might have to revert back to 1.6.1 before next week.
If you can repeat the issue and provide them with logs, along with with your set up details, that could help them track the problem down.
@DaveBinM said: in general, this what I’m looking for with logs.
Verbose (I know!)
Given time that the recording started, when it should have finished, and what show / episode / airing
Preferably no other use of the server during this time
Given how quickly logs cycle through when they’re verbose, the number of logs that are kept will need to be increased temporarily for this. If people are interested, drop me a line, and I’ll let you know what’s involved.
Everything seems to have stuck again last night. So frustrating. Missing all the recordings. I even restarted the server yesterday to try to ensure a smooth evening of recording.
I am downgrading to 1.6 since people seem to have reported a much more stable recording platform at that version. I’ll miss some of the newer functionality for sure.
