Red trash can filter. Can I see only files with a trashcan?

Running v1.21.3.4021 of plex server on Linux.

I am currently recovering from an array failure and have turned off auto trash emptying while I work on restoring missing files. I am getting close but with a large library of 5500+, it can be tedious.

With auto trash empty disabled, restored files show as having duplicates, this is fine until it is enabled again.

What I am looking for is an easy way to identify what is missing. Missing files up in the web client with the ubiquitous red trash can. Is there a way to filter out files so that I can see just the ones with red trash cans? This would help greatly in my restoration effort.

Note that plex still sees missing files for restored and playable movies since most filenames have changed. DVD rips replaced with 1080p versions, etc. Plex Webtools missing file tool doesn’t take this into consideration.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

There’s a filter option for Trash in the custom filter.

Unfortunately, this shows all 5500 items. I am open to other ways of getting a list of what is missing. Not sure where to go from here.

Have you considered using export tools to get the list movies / files any our Plex library (trashed or not) to compare them against the files in your system?

Addition…
just learned there’s a dedicated thread in the tips & tricks section on how to identify deleted/cleaned-up media (thanks @dane22).
