I am hosting my plex server on an Asustor AS5304T with a J4105 Gemini Lake CPU. I’m currently seeing what appears to be vertical deinterlaced red lines and the video can simultaneously be a bit blurry/fuzzy when this problem occurs. Not sure why this ony affects some of my library but it can be very distracting and frustrating at times.
I did try the “fix” from this thread Colored vertical lines when hw transcoding HEVC on 918+ - #4 by ChuckPa
I added the VaapiDriver=“i965” /> to the end of the preferences file which did seem to clear up the blurriness/fuzziness and may have reduced the red vertical deinterlacing lines but did not completely resolve it as you can see in the sample pic below.
Any ideas what the cause is and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
