Regenerative errors occur

I installed a Flex Media Server in Windows 10 version.

I added a series and registered a movie folder.

When I finish scanning the file and play the movie, I get a playback error.

“Translation failed. Transcoder terminated due to an error.”

A message like this is printed out.

Not all movies have this error, but some videos have this error.

I’d appreciate it if you could tell me how to solve it.

  • Set your system for debug logs (Settings -> Server -> General)
  • Recreate the problem (play the movie until the error occurs)
  • Stop playback
  • Wait 1 minute for server to settle & log everything
  • Pull logs and attach the entire zip file to the thread (drag it into the compose window). Settings -> Server -> Troubleshooting.

Also, include the Plex XML information for the movie you played. Save the information as a .txt file and attach to the thread (the forum does not allow .xml attachments).
