Release notes

Release notes once again the topic of discussion…

Why cant you guys get the release notes linked in the app (under the Announcements section) or create an official site and not a blog, which is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack and I have search the internet for the link each time. The most recent updates should be at the top, who cares what was released 3 years ago! These are basic development things you guys are missing the mark on. I don’t update unless I know what has changed.

Guys great App and server app, but some basics communication you are terrible at.

Not a blog, and the most recent releases are at the top:

What happened to the “What is this or what does this mean?”, cant remember the terminology along side the popup in the app, when new versions are released? That was use full, any reason this isn’t in the announcements tab in the app?

Sorry, what are you referring to?
The announcements on this page are fed by the blog posts. https://www.plex.tv/blog/
There was a technical issue which prevented a few past blog posts from appearing there. But the latest post is there again.

I’m simply asking for a change log when a new version of the Server app or desktop app is released. I want to know what has been added, fixed or change before I choose to update to that version or not. I want to get to the information with easy, not a internet search for the information.

It would be nice to get the change log link in the Announcements section in the app, that way I don’t have to open a webpage to find that information.

does that help?

make it simple

There is an additional ‘What’s new’ button when there is a new server version available for download, under
Settings - Server - General
