@bramwalet: Concerning post #100. How are you doing? Did you find anything in the log that can help solving the issue? I still do not understand what it is I am looking for when visiting your suggested page (see post #98) https://github.com/bramwalet/Subliminal.bundle/issues/6. Is there a file I need to download? Or is this enhancement already included in the master 0.8?
I just switched to storing side-by-side and it seems to work. But it still downloads subs even if embedded for that language is available, I have enabled that scan setting.
And I have the same problem as snuf. Refreshin a show causes duplicate entries in the subtitle list, refreshing a single episode does not.
Great plugin. Thank you for this work. One quick request.
Would you be able to add Brazilian Portuguese (pt-br) to the settings? Subliminal supports, I just don't see it as an option (just standard Portuguese).
So, you could activate the subtitles in Portuguese of Brazil?
Install as usual, but make sure subliminal plugin is above LocalMedia agent plugin in list of metadata agents of both TV series and movies.
This is because subliminal places SRT files next to media files. They will be scanned by local media plugin and visible in Plex. If you do not place the plugin above local media, it requires a refresh of metadata for the subtitles to appear.
i did exactly like you said (see pictures attached), but:
Plex is able to detect and open dowloaded subtitles, but i can’t find any .srt file in the tv shows directories. “store subtitles next to media files” is checked.
the agent doesn’t seems to work with movies, it doesn’t download any subtitle. i came back to opensubtitles+podnapisi, made a manual scan, and several subtitles appeared for all of my movies.
can you help me?
Still uncertain about post#100. I was referred to https://github.com/bramwalet/Subliminal.bundle/issues/6. But what does it mean? Do I need to update Subliminal? How? A fresh download? Or from within Plex? What will happen to the changes I made in DefaultsPrefs.json and init.py? (for having more then 2 subtitle languages).
It sometimes happens that a downloaded subtiltle is not sync with voice. In 99% of the cases is is because the downloaded srt is made for a different frame rate.
Is there a way to let Subliminal only search for the same frame rate srt’s as the TV show stored in Plex? This information is available in Plex when looking at the main TV show episode page, under info.
I’m assuming you figured this out, but it looks to me like you have “store subtitles next to media files” as well as a subtitle directory specified. IIRC, specifying a directory will override the “store subtitles next to media files” checkbox. Try clearing your entry for the subtitle directory and see if that helps.
Has anyone else figured out a way to make this run on a schedule? Typically when I record my shows there isn’t subs available for a few days; however, I don’t see any way of triggering this to run again and check for subs until the next time the metadata is refreshed for that show…
If only this would run every 12 hours or, every morning at 4 A.M this would be exactly what I’m looking for.

TheSatman would you mind sharing your code changes? I can’t see it on github. I need support for 3 languages - English, Spanish and pt-br
Never mind, I found all the answers after reading the entire thread.
Big thanks for this plugin.
I’ve started using it today and it’s looking promising.
I hope the development will continue.
Please let us know if and how we can donate (Paypal would be nice)
@chopeta: Glad you sorted it out. Just found your message today. Did you find a solution for both TV shows AND movies? I still can not get it to work with 2 different settings (one for Tv, one for movies).

I dl the original source (GitHub - Diaoul/subliminal: Subtitles, faster than your thoughts) and run a cron job to look for new subs. You can even set an age switch where you can make subliminal only look for subs on files you downloaded the during last week. I find that particularly useful because I have around 6000 videos and some do not have subs available anywhere and I dont want to look for subs for all those files. So i can have an hourly cronjob for videos added in the last 3 days, one cron job every 12 hours for last month, and 1 daily for all.

Look at my above post, you can set different cron jobs with different settings for different folders.
@shahryar84: you can add any language you want. All you need to do is to edit a file or 2 and add the language. You’ll find it well explained in this thread.
@jobrien2001: Not sure how to run a cron on Windows7. But I see on GitHub that this request is noted and will be included in the GUI.
