Remembering watched extras

I like to store all my MMA files in a library. I have found that adding the “main event” as a movie gets it recognised fine. Then what I have been doing is inside the folder for that main event I put a folder called “Other” and inside there I put the prelims. This makes the library nice and neat and keeps all the prelims tied to each main event.
Here’s the problem. The prelims are 2-4 hours long. If you watch part of them and stop it. When you return it does not remember where you watched to, unlike the main event. If you play that and stop it will resume after, the prelims or “Extra” doesn’t.
Am I missing a setting somewhere for it or does it simply not bother remembering extra’s watched duration?

I recently watched a 20 minute short film that’s added as a local extra to one of my movies. From what I remember, Plex did continue the video from where I stopped watching it earlier.

That being said, IIRC that’s not the case for super short extras – though your 2-4 hour extras don’t seem to be in that category.

I take it you’re experiencing that with local extras?
On what clients do you have that issue or is it the same for all (which)?

It actually depends on the used client type.
For instance, Plex Web does support storing playback position of and resuming extras, whereas Plex HTPC does not.

Plex for LG was the player. It remembers everything else normal in the library. Its not a major issue, just figured something might be broken or been overlooked.
