I keep on getting Reminder to Rate notifications on my iPhone in spite of having this option turned OFF. What else do I have to do to stop this annoying notification?
In order to stop them, I have turned off Plex Notifications in iPhone Settings. So now, instead of the Plex Settings working as they should, I get ZERO Plex notifications in order to achieve stopping ONE.
If you have multiple Plex users, and have ever switched between them on the phone, try switching to those other users, and disabling notifications for each user.
The Notifications are referenced by Plex as being associated with Watched State Sync (according to Plex on Twitter). They implied that in order to REALLY turn off the Reminders, I would have to stop the Sync option and lose Watched State synding - which I don’t want to lose. Plex on Twitter “You would only ever receive a reminder to rate something if you have opted in to sync your watched state and rating information.” But there is Setting to Turn It OFF…
The specific Setting I found on iPhone,
Plex App>Dropdown the Hamburger Menu (top left)>Settings (Gear icon Top Right)>Notifications>“Reminder To Rate Watched Items” Toggle can be set ON or OFF.
I have set it OFF but continued to get “Reminder to Rate Notifications”.
There doesn’t seem to be any other Settings referencing the Reminders (Firestick App, or on Server via Browser) Server is up to date.
I actually got a notification on my phone for this a few days ago which surprised me as I hadn’t even known it existed.
I only saw it the once and probably was triggered by the rare event of watching something on my phone.
So (as I’m stuck at work and can’t currently check) is this available on tvOS?
And if not….pretty please
