Remote access buffering issue

Server Version#:latest ( Version 4.63.0 )
Player Version#:latest

Hello there, I highly need your help

first thing first, here is the whole configuration,

server configuration :

Ryzen 5600x
RTX 3080
Entreprise grade 16To HDD - 200 Mo/s write/read - (where the medias are)
Multiples SSD
8Gbps down / 700mbps up optic fiber line
Windows 10 Pro

client configuration :

i7 9900k
3080
SSD
1gbps down / 600mbps up optic fiber line
Windows 10 Pro

And

Nvidia shield PRO with AV receiver

both setups have been tested

around 1km distance from each other

Since I’m no more using rclone + gdrive solution and got all my medias locally, the client side is unable to direct play remux 4K files without buffering every 5sec (tested files are rdy player one, alita and the dark knight rises)

I do not have any issue playing all those files locally.
Playing through my PC, shield pro or phone is flawlessly and instantly loading

No hardware/software have been changed (despite the new HDD for media) since the new configuration, the remote playback of every single 4K remux files was working flawlessly since 2+ years.

I tried putting a file on an SSD to see if the remote playback stutter and it still does, so the new HDD is not the problem.

I do not see any network peak when the client side is loading and moving ahead into the media. It stays around 70/100mbps (wich is obviously not enough and create the buffering)

I do see network peak (like 400mbps+) when I do that on my phone, using wifi network

Do you guys have any idea why is this happening?
Any idea how to fix it?

Sorry for the approximate english.

Thanks alot for your time.

Any Plex Employee to help me out pls?

up for visiblity

up once again

Soooooo not a single help from plex employee still? All good, awesome support

What does your server dashboard look like on remote playback? Is anything wirelessly connected?

Hello there,

Everything is wired, the dashboard indicate peak of 70mbps while it should peak at 400+ to maintain smooth playback.

After investigating, the problem apparently occure only night time, starting around 8PM.

So if I’m not mistaking, the problem could come from my fu**ing ISP having bad peering/offuscated network night time I suppose?

You might want to try some network speed tests around that time and see what you’re getting. It does sound like something’s up with the network.

I did. Speedtests are ok, upload speed is as usual unfortunatly
Edit: nevermind, I got half the speed depending of the servers, but it still should be enough (got 300mbps on some servers)
Still a problem anyway

Meanwhile in local streaming (wifi on smartphone…)

Flawless experience

What bitrate(s) are we talking about here?

400+, Why? Because that is what you’re seeing your phone doing?

And wouldn’t that conflict with this?
