My GF lives across the country and we like to watch some shows together. So I subscribed to plex and setup open PHT clients on both our machines.
Every week I’ll sync a new walking dead or what have you. We tried it out last night and it was working great! However all of the sudden the episode seemed to stop playing at the same time for both of us.
So my question is, is what I’m trying to do possible? Can you watch from two computers accessing the same content with openPHT at the same time without it glitching out? Or was my problem more likely connection related.

Yes it is possible. I’m assuming you are using two different accounts right?
To be quite honest, I don’t know if and how it would work if you were to watch the same content, as the same user but on different clients.
I’m 100% sure that you can play same file as different user. For example I had multiple streams of the same movie simultaneously played by different users.

Well yes, we are talking about two users. You are an admin I assume and you have created a managed account for your gf.
Yes that will work, you can stream the same file multiple times. There is no limitation from Plex side.
Yes that is exactly correct. It’s weird I’m not sure what was causing the issue then.
Are you positive the file isn’t corrupted? Can you play beyond that mark using any different player, like vlc.
Hmm a valid point. I will have to check later tonight once I’m home. It could very well be as it’s a new download.
