Remote Access with Plex installed on Netgear Nighthawk X10

1.13.9.5456

I just got a new router, a Netgear Nighthawk X10, I noticed it had the capability to install Plex directly onto it. I set it up and everything is fine internally, the problem is the remote connection. I know how to set all this up, I did it for my old Plex server and it worked fine, the problem is this time I cannot create port forwarding for the server because the servers internal IP address is the address of the router, 192.168.1.1. Remote Management is enable on the router itself (thought that might help) UPnP is enabled, during the Plex setup it asked if I wanted to connect from the outside, I said yes.

I am not quite sure what to do from here since I can’t forward the port with the routers IP address. I have tried manually selecting the port in Plex (32400) and tried it automatically and I get the same result.

Edit - I should add that I viewed Netgear’s setup video just to be sure and it didn’t have me do anything special except enable during the setup (which I did)

I also noticed in my router UPnP settings that 32400 is mapped and active with my old Plex server (I still have it running for now) would this cause a problem or does that matter?

If you go to canyouseeme.org does it show your Port is open with success?

Just checked, successful. EDIT actually when I turned my old Plex server off, port 32400 no longer works.
