Plex Media Server Remote Access Issue R7000 Netgear Nighthawk Router

I’m running the latest version available as of 9/9/16, and this is a first time setup. I’ve got a Netgear R7000 Blackhawk router, and have configured it to issue a static IP to PC being used as the server. I’ve also configured the router to port forward, and used port 32400 as described in the Plex directions. Plex see’s and displays this vital information, however the red message “Not Available Outside Your Network” is still displaying (see attached). The Netgear router had several types of files on a list with which to setup the port with, including FTP and HTTP. I selected HTTP - should I have selected something else?
Any help would be appreciated!

I’m guessing there are predefined types of services. You need to created a custom service and then forward it.

i have this exact same issue.

okay, so i figured it out…? I think?

I forwarded the port (32400) TCP/UDP through my router and it still didnt work.

then I disabled UPnP. It worked at this point. I thought to myself that I might need UPnP, so on a whim I re-enabled it. The server still connected. So I have UPnP enabled, AND the ports forwarded through my router at the moment. give it a shot!

would be nice if you gave directions to doing that

Old post, but FWIW - I had issue yesterday, after updating to this router. Issue was solved by enabling secure connections to REQUIRED in plex server setup. Nothing else was adjusted.
