Remote Access

Server Version#: 1.14.0.5470
Player Version#:

im currently running unraid with BinHex Plex Docker. the issue im running into is that the remote access shows up as “not available outside of your network”. i have port forwarding set, there is no double NAT issue and i have tried setting port manually. the weirdest part of this issue is that i and everyone i have shared my library with can access it remotely with the exception of my SAMSUNG smart TV its just saying plex is offline. im having the hardest time figuring this issue out. id also love my server to have the proper status. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

are you connecting from tv directly to plex? try enabling DLNA some devices require connection using DLNA vs normal tcpip connection. I assume your on the same lan/subnet for tv as plex server, so it wouldn’t be any outside connection it would use the lan connection.

i live in the boonies so i have my server hosted elsewhere where the internet is better…

Not to be pedantic.

What about the official Plex Docker?

Looks like that actually might be the issue I’ll just have to figure out how to import metadata into other docker without getting bad data/settings. I’d prefer not to have to redo all my libraries.

is reverse proxy acting on subdomains involved?

The availability check resolves your domain name and uses it’s ip for the checks.
As long as you don’t add a rule that matches your servers ip, it won’t display the correct status.

Though, this is just a cosmetic issue, isn’t it?
