i don’t know if i’m clear but what i mean is to have a remote plex software on my badass computer that can transcode for the plex server running on my QNAP NAS (i5 16gb) when needed. A sort of load balancing feature with remote “plug-in” running on different computers on the same network.
This is an existing Feature Request found here: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/121215/distributed-transcoding-scaling#latest Add your vote by adding a “Like” to the first post of that thread. Don’t waste your time with +1’s or other worthless numbers, just add the like. That’s the only method of voting that counts here.
And then you need to sit for a while and wait for the feature to get enough support that the Plex Team finally decides they better do something with it…
