Hey Guys,
An idea just occured to me - apologies if it's already been requested. My quick search didnt return anything on the subject though...
I'm a big fan of Barkleys - and of all dogs really :) - I even have 6 myself (for now - we just got 4 puppies, which are all up for adoption).
Now, I just saw that someone has made some youtube clips with some very short video clips, that are supposed to stimulate the dogs via the TV when the owner is not at home.
The clips are only a few mins a piece, as this is about the attention span that can be expected from dogs.
My thought was to set one of these clips to come on once an hour or so. Enter Plex ;)
I was thinking about the possibility for me to log on to the Plex server, or perhaps even the weblaunched application, and then push out video clips?
Be it online content, or something in my media library.
I know that the device will need to be switched on, and ready for streaming (probably even in the Plex app). But how cool would it be to push a videoclip, at will, to my TV for the dogs to Watch whilst I'm at Work?
A further advantage would be to just ask the girlfriend to make sure the TV is on, when she has problems viewing shows from the media library - and then, being the hero that I am, I arrange for the correct video clip to start playing :P
Now, it's just brainstorming. In a public forum. Which is probably not always the most "safe" thing to do, as this tends to be how one gets flamed :P
But any thoughts? Am I nuts for even suggesting, or is this something that might be possible?
Thanks in advance :)
