I have a remote server that I share between 3 other people, it has the power to do about 4 simultaneous transcodes, my question is does remote streams allowed per user effect the server owner or just the other users.
I tried limiting to 1 but it let me have more so I wondered if it doesn’t effect the owner?
Trying to set the server up so everyone can enjoy it.
I believe this setting is for REMOTE users and not those on your local LAN. I could be wrong on that however. I do know the owner of the server is not affected so use a different account to test with then your owner/plex pass account.

I am also remote from the server, it’s not on my local lan and it doesn’t seem to be effecting me. Like you say I could ask one of the other users if they are effected.
That limit does not apply to the Admin account.
As far as I can see, it also does not affect a user (not the owner) on different platforms, like Plex Web and a Smart TV.
Right now I have a user playing the same media on both Plex Web and a Samsung Smart TV.
